This statement affirms Cal State LA's commitment to equality of opportunity for all individuals. The statement also includes information on filing complaints for those who believe they have been discriminated against or harassed based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identification, marital status, pregnancy, age, disability, or veteran status.

This statement affirms "The California State University does not discriminate on the basis of sex, gender, or sexual orientation in its education programs or activities." The statement is accompanied by CSU Executive Order 1095 which identifies prohibited conduct and includes answers to questions victims and survivors may have related to Cal State LA options — What should I do? Who should I contact? What reporting options do I have? As a reporter, am I protected from retaliation? What else might happen if I notify University Police? What CSU procedures are available? What are the CSU definitions of sexual violence, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, and consent?

This procedure outlines Cal State LA's responsibility to compile and publish crime statistics in an Annual Security Report, and identifies Cal State LA campus security authorities and their training and reporting obligations. In addition, the procedure includes links to crime definitions and the CSA report form.
